I am a Humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults, young people, and children in private practice in Midhurst, West Sussex.  I work with a range of emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, loneliness, bereavement and trauma, as well as self-esteem and relationship difficulties.

I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and supervisor, with a degree in Humanistic Counselling, and as a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) I adhere to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of my work.

As a Humanistic therapist, I work in a non-directive way, meaning I do not direct your actions or tell you what to do.  Instead, I work alongside you to explore your emotions and experiences, helping increase self-awareness, and identify changes you want to make in your life.  You can read more about my approach to counselling below.

If you are seeking support, I can offer a free initial consultation - in person, online or by phone - to discuss your needs and explore whether we feel I would be the right therapist for you.

I also provide supervision to both qualified and trainee counsellors, and am a qualified counselling tutor.  I have long-standing experience of providing play therapy and holistic support in schools.

Supervision

I am an experienced, qualified supervisor, and offer clinical supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists, and trainee practitioners.  I draw on Humanistic and Person-Centred perspectives.

My aim is to provide a supportive and collaborative space where you can reflect deeply on your practice, explore your client work, and consider the relational dynamics involved. Grounded in principles of trust and empathy, I encourage an open dialogue that supports your professional and personal growth, and helps you connect more fully with your own processes as well as those of your clients.

Supervision, to me, is both a reflective and developmental partnership. I act as a supportive companion, assisting you in navigating ethical considerations, professional and personal dilemmas, and the complexities of therapeutic work. Our work can be demanding, therefore I also emphasise the importance of self-care and the restorative aspect of supervision.

Whether you are seeking to deepen your practice, address specific challenges, or enhance your confidence, I strive to ensure supervision is a space that meets your needs and strengthens your effectiveness as a practitioner.
